Lord Jesus we need your help
To face the challenges of each day
For some of us that challenges starts
The moment we awake
Our challenge may be physical
Spiritual, mental, emotional or social
We may have to daily overcome
Fear, misunderstanding, rejection
And much, much more
Help us to remember
You daily faced all these too
Our challenges may be different
But we all need your help
Your strength, your peace
Your Divine presence and power
Lord we need fresh courage daily
Plus patience and grace
Thank you Lord Jesus
You promised never to leave us
Never to forsake us
In all the challenges of life
Today and every day
